Hell-a-vator

The great Hell-a-vator in Niagara, Ontario. The Hell-a-vator is basically a roller-coaster that travels only vertically. The structure bears resemblance to the CN Tower in Toronto and perhaps even the Menara KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur, but is completely different, both in purpose, as well as in architectural merit to the two.

Apparently, they had a similar elevator in Bangalore, India. One fine day, they had to take it down because the elevator's brakes failed as it was cruising downwards through a free-fall.

"The passengers pretty much broke their backs," my house-mate Ravi muses.
