Squirrels, after birds, are by far the most difficult subjects to shoot. They are extremely alert and highly sensitive to motion. One wrong move and you could have a dangerously stimulated squirrel pouncing at you and running haywire.

Unlike their look-alikes, the rabbits, squirrels are also highly claustrophobic. Put them in an enclosed cage and stick your finger in, and you'll see what I mean.
