I came across these tips not really related to photography and one of the tips is to take a photo of your contact details and store it as the very first photo in your camera. In case you misplace your camera in a restaurant or a bar, hopefully some good-natured person will go through your photos and be kind enough to give you a ring. This is especially useful for SLR cameras that cost quite a bit.
Most modern cameras also have a "protect" feature which prevents a photo from being deleted once it has been downloaded. This will keep the "contact info" photo permanently stored in the memory card.
