The Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics is just a few blocks away from where I live. I simply love this building's architecture because it's not just trendy, it's post-modern.
Last Saturday, my room-mate Neil and I went for a walk near these areas and we came across this building. We didn't get a chance to go inside as it was a holiday.
In less than five years, the Perimeter Institute has made itself a name in the areas of quantum theory, quantum information theory as well as quantum gravity. Well, they're a theoretical physics group, so they also do a lot of work in the area of superstring theory, particle physics and cosmology.
I don't know.. maybe I'll spend a work term or two here if I get a chance.
